Newbies Start Here ...

There are so many pieces to the puzzle it is no wonder newbies get confused.I really don't like the term 'newbie' but I guess it has become so commonly used online that it is silly to keep trying to call absolute beginners to Internet marketing anything else!

When you first decide that you want to carve a career for yourself in Internet marketing, you are faced with a totally confusing mass of information. It really is like a jigsaw puzzle. You know that if you can only put all the pieces together you'll be fine, there is no clear picture to guide you. Or, more accurately, there are endless different pictures and you have no idea which one matches the pieces you have to hand.

Don't worry! We all have to get over the information overload stage.

Internet marketing is straightforward, but, from a newbie's perspective, not at all simple. There is just too much information out there and most of it contradicts everything else.

The problem is that Internet marketing is a blanket term that describe a vast number of different disciplines and business strategies.

My best advice is to buy into one plan from one teacher and work that - ignoring everything else - until you are either making money, or have proved to yourself that that particular strategy is not for you. Only then should you cast around for something different to try.

You see, every successful marketer does things their own way and when they teach you their methods, sometimes they match your personality and skillset and sometimes they don't. Don't be discouraged if things don't seem to work for you right away. that is very common among newbies. Just keep at it and in the end you will prevail!
